Security Improvements

Sheds & Garages
Locks
It can be as simple as replacing or adding new locks. Pad bolts are widely available. Most pad bolts are suited to medium security environments and require a padlock to secure. Close shackle padlock has a covered shackle making it harder to force open.
Security Lighting
We fit simple cost effective motion controlled outdoor lighting for security and courtesy. The water proofing standard should be IP44 and upward depending on the location.
Fence and gates
Part of the security solution can be to review the fencing, We can install discreet anti climb spikes for extra security or replace / add a trellis strong enough to withstand coastal winds but not to support the weight of an intruder. ASL can fit secure pad bolts top and bottom to gates. that have a spring return to ensure the gate closes once you have entered.
Defensive plants
At ASL we understand that you want your garden to look like a garden and not fort knox. We recommend plants and bushes that can provide a natural barrier to intruders. Recommend plants include; rambling roses (thorny variety), spiney berberis, japanese quince, and hawthorn we can advise on planting and the of these plants to maximise their effectiveness.
Gravel paths
Gravel paths are noisey underfoot and can deter thieves due to detection. We can recommend placement and provide work to setup.
